Mindful Birth Courses

I am a member of The Mindful Birth Group, teaching group and private courses in Epping, Essex and the surrounding areas.

Mindful Birth courses are for all births choices and all paths to parenthood - we are the first fully inclusive course provider that offers live support from the 1st to the 4th trimester.

Taking your Mindful Birth course with me means that you automatically gain access to the one-of-a-kind support package which includes:

  • A full Mindful Birth preparation course which you can opt to take in a group (to meet others) or privately 1:1 and in the format that suits you best: in-person or virtually on Zoom. You can read more about the courses here

  • Access to these incredible benefits (valued at £850*) as soon as you sign up:

    During pregnancy:

    · Weekly pregnancy yoga (virtual, live & recorded for your convenience)

    · Monthly relaxation sessions (virtual & live)

    · Online community to meet others on a similar path, hosted on Circle (moderated & closed)

    · WhatsApp support from me right up until your baby is born

    · ‘Ask the Midwife’ online group

    During postnatal recovery:

    ·      A private 1 hour postnatal doula session (on Zoom)

    ·      Educational videos on baby care including breast and bottle feeding

    ·      Weekly parent & baby yoga (virtual, live & recorded for your convenience)

    ·      Online community to meet others on a similar path, hosted on Circle (moderated & closed)

We recommend signing up to the package from 12 - 20 weeks of pregnancy, so you can gain the full benefit of mind and body support from early on and to book your course for around 26-30 weeks of your pregnancy. However, we have many parents joining us from 30 weeks onwards, as there is is still time to learn and so much to gain for those later weeks of pregnancy and postnatally too.

*Estimated value of £1000 is based on a parent signing up to an in-person group course at 20 weeks of pregnancy and utilising the pregnancy and postnatal yoga sessions, the value of the online course content, relaxation sessions and moderated community.

Physiological (Vaginal) Birth

The mind and body are deeply connected, and this is a really important fact to remember when preparing for your baby’s birth.

Mindful Birth courses are essentially all about helping you to overcome any fear you may have, and supporting you to gain confidence in your birth preferences and choices so that your body can produce the important hormones for before, during and after the birth.

This in turn means a truly positive and enjoyable experience however birth happens, which is what every parent deserves.

Abdominal (Caesarean) Birth

Learning mindfulness and hypnobirthing for planned abdominal birth is just as important as learning for a physiological birth.

Mindful Birth courses are essentially all about helping you to overcome any fear you may have, and supporting you to gain confidence in your birth preferences and choices so that your body can produce the important hormones for after the birth too. This in turn means a truly positive and enjoyable experience, which is what everyone deserves.

In brief, oxytocin is one of these hormones. It is produced when the body goes into labour spontaneously. It’s what gets things started and keeps birth progressing. When birthing a baby abdominally, this ‘step’ is technically ‘skipped’.

So, our courses help mums to focus on creating it in the lead up to an abdominal birth and being fully educated about the process on the day and applying calming techniques to avoid any anxiety creeping in. This will help to bridge that gap and get the oxytocin flowing for when you meet your baby. It’s important for every birth.
