Birth Doula Services
As your birth doula, I will listen, help answer any questions, give reassurance and encouragement when needed and help you prepare for the birth of your baby. I will be a part of your pregnancy and birthing support team, providing you with practical, emotional and informative support during your journey to assist you in achieving a positive birth experience.
Getting to know one another
An initial meeting to get to know one another, discuss my services in more detail and to answer any questions you may have. This meeting can either take place in your home or in a public place such as; a coffee shop.
We will also briefly discuss the topics for our antenatal sessions.
During Birth
I am on-call from week 38 of your pregnancy until your baby decides they are ready to arrive.
Support and guidance for you and your birth partner during labour and birth.
Unlimited support via phone during early labour.
Before Birth
Two antenatal sessions to talk through your needs, birth physiology, birth preferences, any previous birth experiences, any concerns, navigating the maternity system and, provide you with some useful tools for labour and birth.
Unlimited support via phone and email during pregnancy.
After Birth
One postnatal follow-up visit/call, at a time that suits you, to celebrate the birth of your baby and answer any questions you may have.
Additional postnatal support such as; help around the home or to accompany you on appointments can be arranged, if needed.
